I love playing Skyrim and sometimes there's something that you just really want or need in the game... but can't really afford it. And other times completing crimes can benefit you by taking you to places you need to go especially if you're trying a speed run tactic. And don't want to pay or can't afford the fare for transportation. So what are the bounties for the various crimes in Skyrim?Read More
Rose and I love watching American Horror Story. And have seen every episode of every season, currently we're in the middle of season 7 which is called Cult. And the stories are all related. Up until season 7 there was no link between the odd and even seasons, but they are all finally linked together with the release of the latest season. So let's dive into each season and explore the links to the other seasons.Read More
Maxwell's Door is a portal that brings the player out of Sandbox mode and into Adventure mode. Typically it is surrounded by Evergreens, Fireflies, and Evil Flowers. It resembles the machine which brought Wilson to Maxwell's world in the first place, as seen in Forbidden Knowledge video. It can be found with the help of a Divining Rod. Upon activating it, a warning message will appear informing the player about Adventure Mode and asking them if they want to proceed or not. If they do, the player will be grabbed by a Shadow Hand and then appear in the first chapter of Adventure Mode with no inventory (except special items such as Lucy, Willow's Lighter, or Abigail's Flower) or recipes, so players are required to begin anew in Adventure Mode. Health, Hunger, and Sanity levels will be restored. If the player dies in Adventure Mode, they will wake up in front of the Maxwell's Door in Sandbox Mode with their original inventory, Health, Hunger, and Sanity level as if they never activated the Door. However, Maxwell's Door does not spawn in Shipwrecked. So how do you get through the levels in Adventure Mode?Read More
Over the weekend the expansion pack for The Sims 4 called Cats & Dogs launched. And you cannot imagine how excited I was for this to launch. Especially when the trailers showed that there was a new profession (vet) and there was a paint wheel. Wish this was available for sims for their hairs. But I can get why they didn't do this as they would have to undo and recreate literally everything in the Sims. So I can be happy with it only being available for the pets. As I was able to recreate my dogs in the Sims!Read More
Though the storyline of Dragon Age II is less than to be desired, it introduces some of my favorite characters. The game overall just feels too rushed like they were trying to pack in everything in preparation for Dragon Age: Inquisition (DAI) while at the same time keeping up with the success of Dragon Age: Origins (DAO). And unlike DAI, I don't outright hate any of the companions. I think some of them make really terrible decisions, but they all thought they were doing the right thing. Unlike Solas! I can't get over his character arc. Every time I replay the game, it feels jaded because I know what his character does/did. But we're not talking about the companions of DAI, I already did a post on that a little while ago. Today we're focusing on my most to least favorite Companions in Dragon Age II.
Now this does not include Sebastian Vael who you can get as a companion in the Exiled Prince DLC mainly as I've never played that DLC so I have no judgement on his character.Read More
Cuphead is a new platform and classic boss fight game that has visuals straight out of the 1930s that pays homeage to the cartoon style of Disney and Fleischer Studios. And is hard as hell as often you will face "bullet-hell" with no HP recharge. But the game teaches you how to deal with it and over time with some practice you get used to the patterns so you can get through the game. Cuphead is a story of two bothers: Cuphead and Mugman, that must make a deal with the devil to collect the contracts of the devil's debtors in order to pay off their own gambling debt. You can either play solo as Cuphead to collect these contracts or play with a friend, Mugman. Which makes the game so much more easier as you have someone who can save your life from the bullet-hell. You both have infinite ammunition that can launched at enemies vulnerable spots until they submit. All the while the patterns of attack become increasing complex. There are two different level types: Run n Gun & Contract levels.Read More
I haven't really talked about this video game on my blog that often. I freaking love Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2. I also can't bring myself to play Mass Effect 3 past the first cut scene and the fact that I know the ending is a major let down that goes against everything you've done in the games. I do want to get Andromeda just to see what it's like since it's basically "the next generation". So with that in mind, I wanted to go over my most to least favorite companions in Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 since a good portion are available in both games.Read More
In Overwatch, there is no difference when you're playing the game on which side you play as. But in the background there is massive lore/backstory released through mini shorts, and the characters are divided into heroes and villains. And I love watching the mini shorts. Hopefully one day they will actually make a movie because they already have fantastic backstory that they could make a movie out of. Or make something completely new. So I thought for today's post, I would go over where each hero technically fall. Plus they just released a new character at Blizzcon! There are three groups: those part of Overwatch, those part of Talon, and those not part of either.Read More
Pokemon Go was a major trend in 2016 and is still around today though you don't see as many people glued with their eyes to their phone walking as slow as possible to catch Pokemon. Though there is still a strong community around the app with surges of players during their special events. I still play this game from time to time as I work downtown and it's good to kill a few minutes while waiting in line for some lunch. Today I wanted to focus on the eggs and what hatches from each of the tiers.Read More
I've never really been a custom content user when it comes to games. I love playing them vanilla or as they were intended to be played. Though don't get me wrong I find some mods in video games hilarious or can enhance gameplay. In Sims I rarely get mods, but there are a few I love. These are typically Maxis Match so they look like they belong in the game rather than something changing the aesthetic of the game. So I'm going to be updating this post with all the locations where I get Custom Content (CC) that falls into this category.Read More
Season 2 of Stranger Things takes place a year after the events of the first season on the anniversary of Will's disappearance. The original season of Stranger Things had an amazing cast and storyline. So when they announced there was going to be a second season, I was worried that the mood, references, and retro vibe would be lost. Or it wouldn't live up to the first season. Especially considering how slow it took me to get into the show in the place. But once I got into it, the show was very addicting and I wanted to discover more about the characters and the creatures. So would season 2 live up to that? Or would it fall to the other concerns? Would they would repeat the same or similar timeline for the sake of nostalgia purposes like Star Wars did from Episode 5 to Episode 8? Or would it become bloated with celebration for itself and forget to tell the story? Similar to the Alien or Fast and Furious franchises.Read More
Only of my favorite shows is Doctor Who. And I haven't done a tag on this blog yet to what better tag could there be than the Doctor Who tag. I did not make up with tag, but I don't know who the creator of it is.Read More
I love mindless games. They are the perfect thing to just throw on and play for a few hours without taking up a lot of brain power. Which is perfect for after a long day of work. One of the game I would slot into this category is Oxygen Not Included. And yes there is some strategy that has to go into the game in order to build a sustainable colony. Especially when it comes to oxygen, sanity, temperature, and resources. So here is a very basic beginner's guide on how to set up your colony for success.Read More
Throughout the Dragon Age series there is one thing that's very apparent. Templars and Mages are at complete odds with each other. And in every game you have to make a choice between the mages and the templars. But what is the advantages of choosing one over the other in each of the games.Read More
Doctor Who has to be one of my favorite television shows of all time and before they revealed who River Song was, I loved guessing who she was. And man was I wrong. She is one of the most interesting characters considering we see her life out of order compared to that of the Doctor. So I thought it would be interesting to unravel her timeline not by how it is presented in the series but by her actually lifeline. Because we first meet River Song on the last day of her life and it takes several seasons afterwards to get to her first day.Read More
When you reach about level 15 or 16 in Dragon Age: Inquisition you really need to have a specialization picked if you focus purely on one branch or you won't have anything to level up. Specializations become available once you each Skyhold. Each class (Rogue, Warrior, and Mage) have three different specializations they can choose from but unlike previous games you have to complete quests in order to unlock them.Read More
Dante's Inferno nine circles of hell is a main theme that plays out in American Horror Story seasons. With each season embodying a different circle of hell. This isn't just something fans came up with, but from the creator himself Ryan Murray. He confirmed that each season represents a different circle and revealed which season represents which one. The two that haven't been covered yet are Lush and Violence, which will be the final two seasons.Read More
I love games that you can just sit back and enjoy without putting too much thought into. Or if you wanted to put a lot of effort can advance the plot. Slime Rancher has been available on early access through Steam since January 2016, but fully released on August 1st, 2017. And was developed by Monomi Park in Unity platform. In the story you play as Beatrix LeBeau, a rancher who sets out for a life a thousand light years away from Earth where she tries her hand at making a living wrangling slimes. But how do you achieve the fortune and avoid chaos from the various slimes? Here are a few tips to help you out!Read More
One thing I love doing is playing Skyrim and watching speed runs. I am playing The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on my YouTube channel but I'm trying not to use any speedrun tactics or using mods. Though I am going to add a few mods that only adjust very minor things and disable the normal ones I use during gameplay. And off camera, I love playing the game trying to use the speedrun methods or tactics just to see how fast I can complete the game sometimes. Note, using these tactics will miss out on a lot of the story and heavily uses the glitches.
So what are those tactics?
I love playing Don't Starve, it's one of those games I fire up when I want to just have an open sandbox to play with that has challenges of finding resources. And there is a plot to the game that you can follow or just ignore it all together. The game does have simple mechanics that are relatively easy to understand, but can take some getting used to. So in this beginner's guide, my goal is to make it easier for you!Read More
